En esta ilustración el autor representa a la mujer con una anatomía más delgada, con trazos más finos; lleva puesto el clásico gorrito y las zapatillas de la época. Los listones del gorro y su falda son movidos por el aire y puede notarse su figura femenina; además lleva algunos instrumentos en un portafolio y un libro que va leyendo; podría tratarse de una estudiante de arquitectura o de dibujo. Además el autor representa un ave que da la sensación de libertad.

En esta caricatura García Cabral representa a un maestro y su alumno. El rostro del maestro de edad avanzada aparece cansado, con mirada de anguistia y su alumno prestando atención con cara de pícaro; además se aprecian otros elementos que componen la escena como el mapamundi y un cuadro decorando el salón. La representación del niño fue importante para el autor, lo representa como un niño latoso, guerroso, pícaro. Aunque en la época no se prestaba mucha atención a los niños, Cabral los representa en múltiples ocasiones.

Forma parte de un conjunto de viñetas autobiográficas titulado "Consagrados por la fama". En la imagen aparecen, de derecha a izquierda, José Elizondo (Pepe Nava), Manuel Horta (su compadre, rascándose la cabeza), Guillermo de Lama (director del Excélsior de aquella época) y Ernesto García Cabral. El caricaturista trabajó durante 25 años para el periódico Excélsior en dondo participó en una sección titulada "La vida en broma" en colaboración con José Elizondo en el que uno escribía y el otro dibujaba. Esta sección estuvo bastante tiempo en el periódico. Don Manuel Horta junto con Cabral fueron coautores de la Revista Fantoche que se publicó por dos años, de 1928 a 1930; juntos brillaban en "Jueves de Excélsior."
